This historic building was built in 1856 in Italianta style by J.M. McConihe. John Massillion McConihe, at the time, was known as one of Princeton's most exemplary citizens. J.M. was in the mercantile business and farming with another Princeton leader Justice Stevens. J.M. was also a key investor in building the American House, a post office in the bottom, and a 50 room hotel that burned down and is known as the Four Seasons business on the corner of Main St and Park Ave. J.M McConihe's first cousin was also Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States. Although not being documented, it could be possible, and the same time frames the president Abraham Lincoln while trying a case in Hennepin may have visited here. As you can see, this building and past home have a historical past not only from Princeton's history but American history as well. This building has over 3500 square feet of space with a basement studded in with newer electrical. The main floor has two half baths and two fireplaces, and many office desks that come with it. Upstairs has several rooms with one-half bath, and leading up is a beautiful staircase.
